When it gets hot, plastic deforms and loses its shape. Factors that control the degree of deformation include wall thickness and the heat resistance of the plastic. Deformed divisible pipe halves can be difficult to assemble / disassemble. The protection can disappear completely or partially when pipe halves can be opened. Our divisible pipes have both a thick wall thickness and properties in the plastic that make it extra durable in comparison with, for example, HDPE. The pipes have been tested to be exposed to about 34 degrees C sunlight and then gets a surface that becomes about 70 degrees C. With this exposure, it is possible to measure a 10% deterioration in quality only after 25 years in constant exposure. The plastic used has a high protection against heat and deformation. This also applies to sub-zero temperatures, which usually make plastics more vulnerable to shocks and blows.
